Camera Gear
I am also in the freelance cameraman/editor business.
Here is a list of all the camera gear
I have at my disposal.
Blackmagic Micro Cinema
It was time I made the switch to a legit cinema camera, Blackmagic was my first and only choice and the Micro Cinema to me is the perfect starting point. 10-bit 422 Apple Prores or CinemaDNG RAW video? What's not to love about that in a body that is the size of a GoPro! It suits my cinematography needs perfectly and is small enough so I can set it up and tear it down to different rigs in minutes.
Nikon D500
Nikon D500
4K video, 10fps photo burst, and amazing battery life? What's not to love about the D500! It is my workhorse and it will not disappoint clients nor myself with it's immeasurable capabilities for both photography and videography.

Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX OS HSM
Sigma has yet to disappoint me. This lens is amazing and it has amazing glass so every shot I take is even clearer than the 18-250 that I used to use. I now use the 17-50 as my travel lens or as a tracking lens since it's the only lens I have with stabilization.
Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8
This lens is the most expensive lens I own, and it's also the lens I always go to when I'm in a pinch. Whether it be for street photography or filmmaking my Sigma 18-35mm has my back. If it were stolen the next day, I would buy another immediately. It's the lens that never leaves my bag and the lens 95% of the time is on my camera. I love it.
Rokinon 85mm t/1.5 Cine DS
"How To Succeed..." had a successful Kickstarter campaign and I got some new lenses with reaching our goal. This Rokinon 85mm t/1.5 Cine DS is one of them. Lovely image quality, smooth iris and focus pull, and great for both video and photography.
Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D
Craigslist never ceases to amaze me with its hidden treasures. I accidentally broke the 50mm f/1.8 so I need to get a replacement ASAP. And while I was looking, a 50mm f/1.4 popped up on my computer screen. It was a bit out of my price range, but it was worth every penny to have it. Smoother manual focusing, 1.4 aperture instead of 1.8, and better optics, what's not to love?
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro DX II
Along with the 85mm, this 11-16mm is another one of my spoils from the successful campaign. This is used mainly when I'm shooting 4K because of the heavy crop the D500 has when shooting 4K video.
